OTHER THANKS Special Thanks: Jim Bessman; Valencia, Lamara, and Mr. African Stew; Michael, Bobby, Scottie, Debbie and Liz Lay; Flx and Marie Alex; and Pearl. Ok, now we are talking family. Vsplanet is a website for users of the Roland VS2480 that I used to record "Corky Siegel's Traveling Chamber Blues Show," and "Flash Forward." Understand that I not only was a executive and artistic producer of this project but I did most of the engineering. I didn't do the engineering because I wanted to I did it because there was not other practical option. I would not have finished the production of "Flash Forward" without the help of the great people that frequent this VsPlanet site and got me through some engineering challenges that were about to bring this project to a halt. Dave Gordon. Hi Dave! Brett LaCroix and SoungVault. This is the man and his machine. His machine is a backup system for the Roland VS2480. Couldn't have finished this project without his machine and his help. Marcella Detroit and the Samtones. Marcella Detroit is another name for Marcy Levy. Samtones is another name for Sam's backup singers that include Rollo and Jim and even Holly on one cut. Eli Kelly. He sold me the VS2480 at Gary Gand Music and has been another great support to my engineering diversion. Pete and Annette Krammer. When I was staying at there house in Napa Pete said I should get an "all in one" recorder. I did it! I got the VS2480. Changed my life. Tiffin is the place Holly and I have been going for lunch for years here on Devon Ave. on Chicago's North Side. It fulfills my Indian Food jones. It's Chicken Tandori and great friends. There were a lot of visits to Tiffin during the production of this recording. Alligator Records. The rare exception for companies in the music business. They were founded because of concern for the artists - specifically blues artists. The beautiful Hound Dog Taylor was their first undertaking. They continue the intention. Long live Alligator. If it were not for Ryan Smith and the Shure Bros. microphones, The group would sound like, well, nothing. THANK YOU TO A SPECIAL HARP MAN: LIVE SOUND THE ONE WHO KNOWS? |
